As the dawn broke on a cloudy Easter Sunday Morning
the sunrise was not as brilliant as it had been in previous years
But that did not deter us from meeting on the beach to celebrate
the resurrection of our Lord
In Mark’s gospel, we are told that when the Sabbath was over, Mary, Mary Magdalene and Salome visited the tomb where Jesus had been laid and found the tomb empty.
A young man, dressed in white, told them that Jesus has risen!
Trembling and bewildered, the women ran aWAY, they hid the TRUTH.
They were amazed that He had come back to LIFE.
Before He died, Jesus told his disciples :-
I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE.
His resurrection confirms that statement
once and for all.
He is risen, He is risen indeed. ALLELUIA.
We continued our fellowship with coffee and bacon butties.
