Christian Carnival in the Park

On Sunday August 17th. 2003 Skegness Methodist Church took part in the third annual Christian Carnival in the Park organised by the Skegness Fellowship of Christian Churches.

The event took place in Tower Gardens in Skegness and provided an afternoon of entertainment, fun, food (both physical and spiritual) and worship for all the family.
Among those providing entertainment and worship were the worship group "Eleventh Hour"
and the Breakdancers "Theophany" from  the Abundant Life Christian Centre, Chesterfield,
- the Puppeteers from Addlethorpe Methodist Church, Skegness, (left)

- the Good News Club Beach Team from Hasbury Christian Fellowship, Halesowen in the West Midlands, (Web site: hasbury.org) The Beach Team having been coming to Skegness with a two week Beach Mission for the past 17 years.
Refreshments were provided by the Skegness Lions Club who kept a BBQ running all afternoon. (right)



Member churches of the Fellowship of Churches put on an exhibition in a marquee which included photographs and information about the individual churches.

A bookshop was organised by St Paul's Baptist Church and the Methodist Church provided the opportunity for people to purchase "Traidcraft" fairly traded products.

Members of the Fellowship of Churches led a time of praise and worship in the middle of the afternoon.
